The proud tilt of the head, hidden from years of practiced insecurity, the freedom veiled behind attention-seeking eyes, lips like wings, the constant tugging at the hair The thing settled inside the once-hollow bird bones, now full and waiting for the rest of the world to notice that you've slipped out of that little shell you were wearing, like a bird slips out of it's feathers or a woman our of her dress.
